1 tbs sugar, maple syrup, brown sugar or sweetener of your choosing
500ml Mason Jar
In your mason jar prepare the 1 serving portion of steel-cut or large flake oats. Add in fruit and sweetener and gently combine. Place jar(s) gently into COLD slow cooker. Add water to slow cooker basin until it is about halfway up the jar(s). Cook on low overnight (6-8 hours). When you wake up remove the jars from the slow cooker to cool for 5-10 minutes before eating. If you want to take it to go simply put the canning lid on it. Warning the glass jar is hot and remains so for some time. I suggest putting a sleeve of some sort on it or wrapping it in a dish towel to carry. A beer cozy would probably work well too.
