Someone Will Take Home #NugsFaveThings to Celebrate My Birthday! #Giveaway

It’s my party, but instead of getting gifts I’ve decided I want to celebrate by giving you some of my most favourite things! Blogging has allowed me many perks over the past 8 years and it’s time to start paying it forward to all of you who make it possible. Thank you for being a reader, commenting, sharing and supporting me in my little online space. Thank you to the brands who have seen my passion for sharing great content and have supported me along the way. Last but certainly not least thank you to my family who are the whole reason I started blogging.

Nug’s Fave #1: One of my most enjoyable partnerships over the past 2 years has been with Telus. I like to joke that they are my first and longest relationship. My Telus mobility account has kept me connected through moments big and small for more than 18 years. Yes, 18! I have had phones from Nokia, Motorola, but by far my favourite phone so far has been the Samsung Galaxy S4. I love it’s functionality and it’s camera. That doesn’t keep me from lusting after the latest in the Galaxy lineup though.

The speed and the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S5 are certainly enviable, but I have to say it’s the water resistance that has me eyeing it the most. I don’t know about you, but spillage is an issue in my house. With 5 kids that’s not really surprising though. Not only that my phone goes with me everywhere so the chances of it falling in the sink, tub, and yes even toilet (don’t judge, I know you tweet from the throne too;) are that much higher. Water resistance is a wonderful thing in a phone.

One of my very luck Canadian readers will get to take the Samsung Galaxy S5 from Telus home!

I may have even spilled a little of Nug’s Fave #2 on my current cell phone, a good reason to replace it as any.

Nug’s Fave #2 is coffee. I like it hot, I like it cold, I even like it spiked, but not spilled – that just makes me sad. Coffee is something I even enjoy in baked goods.  It’s one of my favourite drinks in the morning and my afternoon wouldn’t be complete with a mug before dinner. I know coffee can be a personal thing so I’m not going to give you actual coffee. I am going to let you choose.

Starbucks or Tim Hortons? The winner of #NugsFaveThings will get to pick their coffee of choice and I will give them a $25 gift card so that they can have a coffee or 5 on me!

Iced Coffee

But what’s coffee without something to drink it out of? Which brings me to Nug’s Fave #3!

We don’t drink out of glasses in my house. My kitchen cupboard for the most part is filled with Mason Jars. I have big ones and small ones and even itty bitty ones by my sink that act as a ring holders when I do dishes. Mason jars are just so handy! You can even cook oatmeal in a mason jar if you have a slow cooker. Mason jars are convenient, sturdy, trendy and dishwasher safe! What’s not to love?

I was turned onto these handy dandy mason jar lids and straws from The Mason Bar Company when Kelly Moore was giving some away on her Instagram page. Since I didn’t win one I had to buy my own and it was love at first sip. Not only is it perfect for iced coffee, it’s helped me up my water intake. I can toss in some orange, lemon or cucumber slices and a few ice cubes into my water and drag my mason jar around the house with me without too much worry that the kids will spill it. While they aren’t spill proof it sure helps having a lid on it. I love it so much that I had to buy a second one just for you!

The winner of #NugsFaveThings will also take home a Mason Jar with ring, a  mason jar tumbler lid in mint, a purple BPA free straw, and a straw brush to clean it with.

But what would a nice cup of coffee be without chocolate?

Nug’s Fave Thing #4 needs no explanation. Chocolate is oh so very good. I put it on toast, on fruit, in lava cookies and even in my smoothies. The winner of #NugsFaveThings will take home something from my favourite local chocolate shop. It could be some fondue sauce, salted caramel or maybe some of their handcrafted chocolates. What ever it is I know you’ll love them as much as I do.

Chocolate can be a messy business though…

Nug’s Fave thing #5 is something that I use every day, P&G products. I was a #PGmom long before I partnered with them on this blog. I have seen the #swiffereffect in action with my kids when they used to fight over the Swiffer broom and I ended up buying two just to stop the fighting. I don’t think my floors every looked better. When it comes to my kids sensitive and eczema prone skin I have sworn by the Bounce Free products for our laundry needs. While getting ready for date night it’s Covergirl products that I use. I swear that it’s the simple skin care routine that I have followed since I was a teen, using Ivory Soap and Oil of Olay, that has kept my skin looking great well into my late 30’s.

The winner of #NugsFaveThings will take home a P&G prize pack valued at $130! Products will include some of my favourites from Covergirl, Olay, Swiffer and Mr. Clean!

P&G Prize Pack

Last but not least you need something to carry this all in…right?

OK I joke, all of this wouldn’t fit into the ThinkTank Photo Turnstyle 20. Nug’s Fave #6 has to do with my other passion, photography. Having nice gear is great, but if you want to go anywhere with it you need something to carry it in. DSLR cameras can be a pricey investment and you need the right bag to protect that investment. I have been a huge fan of ThinkTank products ever since reviewing the Streetwalker backpack last year. My Streetwalker has been everywhere with me from photo walks in Vieux Quebec, on hikes, and even on road trips to Gaspesie.
