Hi! I’m Nicole. I’m a social media enthusiast and blogger of Domesticated Momma. I started blogging while I planning my wedding in 2006. I married my best friend in April of 2007. We’ve known each other since I was in grade 2. Would you believe he was my reading buddy?! In 2009, we welcomed our first child to the world. I suffered a traumatizing miscarriage in early 2010 and later went on to welcome our second born into the world in early 2011.

Tell us about your blog. What do you blog about?
Domesticated Momma features the musings of a chic, sassy Suburban Mom. Being domestic in a digital world.
Domesticated Momma is a lifestyle blog that features articles related to parenting, house & home, food and fitness.
How long have you been blogging? Why did you start?
I began blogging in 2006 to document my wedding. Domesticated Momma originated in 2008 in efforts to document my journey while trying to conceive my first. The blog has since formulated into something more lifestyle focused with a parenting flavour.
What do you hope to get out of blogging and what do you hope to give your readers?
When I started blogging, I did it for myself. I treated it more like a diary. A place for me to vent my tragedies and share in the excitement of my triumphs. Shortly after I began blogging, I realized the community I was surrounding myself in. The sense of community is inspiring. It’s been great to get to know my readers and form newfound friendships. The support is phenomenal. It’s great to know others can understand and relate with me.
What is biggest motivator behind working with brands. What is your biggest motivator to blog.
I love to work with brands that I’m passionate about. You will never see me represent a brand that I do not personal like the vision of. I love to work with brands who are real and get it. You know the ones that you can reach out to and they’re whole heartedly honest with you. They don’t wear the brand voice 24/7. They’re people too. That stands out to me. Customer service is key.
Personally, I find blogging therapeutic. Domesticated Momma is my outlet. It’s a place for me to share in excitement and vent my frustrations. It’s the one place I can be myself without a care in the world. This is me.
How do you unwind?
Exercising, bubble baths, wine, and mindless television. I’m a sucker for reality TV.

What is your favorite television program?
Tough call… I have quite a few favorites at the moment. The Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Ringer, Revenge, New Girl, Up All Night… to name a few.
Are you reading anything good?
I’m about to begin The Hunger Games series. I hear it’s good.
If you could do any one thing (Ex. Skydiving, hiking up a mountain, writing a book) what would it be and why?
I would love to backpack through Switzerland with nothing but the clothes on my back.
I’m currently enrolled in photography courses. I’ve been an aspiring photographer for quite some time. I took the plunge and enrolled in some courses to build on my credentials and knowledge.
I would love to find a job in SM. Over the last 3 years, I’ve grown a strong passion for it. If you know of any positions send the info my way. J

What is one gadget you can’t live without?
My BlackBerry.
What would your significant other want to tell us?
I’m a headstrong, fun-loving wife and Mom who can sometimes be a little stubborn. I love a clean house and a good dance party.

I’ve travelled to Florida, Dominican Republic and London once, and Mexico 4 times.
